Avantek DT42 Wireless Doorbell: Review

The home automation products are truly transforming the way, we live in our homes, today we propose the simple object of a test as useful, a wireless doorbell from very interesting features.

This practical bell made by Avantek consists of a receiver that is connected to any electrical outlet in the home, and a transmitter with touch button battery operated (included).

The very compact and stylish button is equipped with blue LEDs and be placed in any wall of the house thanks to the two-sided adhesive supplied in the package, everything is ready for use as the do not have to buy batteries or other.

Like all products Avantek we noticed immediately a very high constructive care, starting from the packing very well made and ordered and obviously the product produced with glossy plastics protected by an adhesive film in order to preserve the clarity during transport.

The model DT42 at our disposal, was black but is available in a white version which probably is camouflaged better in homes with light walls or furniture. Both the wireless receiver and the transmitter are small enough. The latter protrudes from the wall of only one centimeter! Really well done.

We were pleasantly surprised by the actual range of use of the two devices, in our test, we placed the receiver on two floors away from the transmitter and everything worked perfectly, the only notice that we feel we can do it with the transmitter as it is not waterproof and cannot be installed on external walls, at least not covered by rain.

By connecting the bell receiver was not necessary to do is select one of 36 melodies by tapping the music note symbol on the receiver. It ‘s also an additional symbol that adjusts the volume of sound, during our test the minimum volume was more than enough to be heard in a 80 sqm.
