Cameras from the Olympus SH-50 super-zoom – The SZ-16 and SZ-15

Even Olympus opens 2013 with a series of innovations in the field of digital photography. The manufacturer has presented three new models of the fact STYLUS Traveller named SH-50, SZ-16 and SZ-15. The three are united by the use of digital sensors and high resolution zoom of great significance.

The top of the range is the new Olympus SH-50, which includes a sophisticated image stabilization system called Hybrid 5-axis Movie IS. This technology combines a system of compensation for the mechanical rotation on three axes and a system of digital correction for vertical and horizontal movements.

The result is a superior image quality that greatly reduces all phenomena blur and moved. This feature is perfect to combine with powerful 24x optical zoom which the SH-50 is equipped since they are affected by their higher magnifications in excess of the small movements of the camera.

The Olympus SH-50 uses a 16 megapixel CMOS sensor technology with IHS. The combination of these two solutions allows you to take pictures rich in detail and with a faithful representation of the color. The camera offers excellent performance even in the field of video with support for Full HD format and the ability to record video at the 720p resolution at 120 fps or 240 fps with HVGA resolution. The interface of the mixed type envisages the presence of physical keys and a large display 3-inch touch.

Olympus SZ-15
Olympus SZ-15

The models Olympus SZ-16 and Olympus SZ-15 are united by a similar basic approach that involves the use of a 16 megapixel sensor also coupled in this case to a 24x optical zoom. Also common is the 3-inch LCD display with 460,000 dots matrix. The SZ-16 uses a CMOS sensor and also has the aforementioned technology IHS while the SZ-15 sensor is a CCD. On the model SZ-16 are also provided for more advanced video and connectivity.
